By accessing or using Sylva (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
Sylva is an AI-powered note-taking and productivity application that provides conversation-based AI assistance, voice capture, intelligent search, task management, and encrypted data storage. The Service uses third-party AI models (Anthropic Claude) and speech services (AssemblyAI) to process your content.
You must create an account to use Sylva. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
You retain ownership of all content you create, upload, or share through the Service (“User Content”). By using the Service, you grant Sylva a limited license to process, store, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
When end-to-end encryption is enabled, your message content is encrypted client-side before transmission. Sylva cannot access encrypted content.
The Service provides AI-generated responses and suggestions. This content is provided “as is” and should not be relied upon as professional, medical, legal, or financial advice. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of AI-generated content before acting on it.

You may export or delete your data at any time through the Settings page. Account deletion will permanently remove all associated data within 30 days. Some anonymized, aggregate data may be retained for analytics purposes.
Sylva strives to maintain high availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sylva shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
